Job Description for Application Engineer, Yancheng

Responsibilities and duties

• Leading the cost analysis for the new development parts and hand over to program manager after award
• Establish strong customer relationships and responsiveness through regular meetings.  Be recognized by the customer as a connection system expert by continuously providing value-added services, including simultaneous product design or re-engineering;
• Identify robust, cost effective connection systems appropriate for the target market.  Submit design requests;
• Serve as Liaison to CS functional groups of sales and engineering in North America, Europe, and Asia;
• Offering after-sales support services;
• Supporting marketing activities by attending workshop seminar, trade shows, conferences and other marketing events;
• Performing presentations and demonstrating how Delphi CS product will meet client needs; Professionally represent Delphi in all circumstances

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in automotive/mechanical/electrical engineering
• Above 2 years multinational company working experience preferred
• Decent and polite manner;
• Good computer skills;
• Good communication skills;
• Fluent oral and written English;
• Connection systems or wiring harness experience preferred;
• Knowledge of automotive market preferred;
• Basic knowledge of 6 SIGMA & TS16949 preferred

Nice to haves (preferred qualifications)

• Good OEM customer relationship
