Job Description for Prototype Leader

We are currently looking for a Prototype Leader who will coordinate prototype builds and deliveries to the customer / development teams according to timing and cost. 

• Business / Project execution:

• launches the Builds successfully through functionally integrated teams (focus on Cost, Quality, Time, Delivery and Prototype processes). Core responsibilities:

• updating and completing Project Build Plan 

• completing and submitting product information

• communicating Customers' prototype needs for key deliverables to Project

• Manager/Customer:

• Providing 12 months rolling demand to prototype plants

• Product quality:

• drives the Team to meet First Time Quality [FTQ] goals for prototype deliverables

• Cost and budget:

• prepares inputs for budget forecast together with Prototype Coordinator, Project Manager

• and Engineering Project Leader

• meets the financial goals for material and prototype expenses

• Customer / supplier relationships:

• interfaces to suppliers for Project information with timings, deliverables, life time volumes

• communication alignment between different stakeholders, including Customer interactions

• Continuous Improvement:

• supports enterprise effectiveness/efficiency

• Team collaboration:

• Cooperates with various competencies on prototype execution; being a process ‘gate keeper’

• Identifies and acts with urgency on prototype related risks

• Compliance:

• ensures compliance with PDP requirements

• maintains required documentation and reporting for prototypes (budget, deliveries)

Your Background:

Required:

• Business experience in a technical commercial similar position

• Excellent organization and communication skills

• Mobility and readiness to travel within EMEA region and global

• Fluent command of English

• Knowledge of MS Office

• Ability to work in an international, fast-paces environment

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree from commercial or technical university

• Very good negotiation skills

• High enforcement capability

• Purchasing experience is nice to have

• Good Team player and Mediator

• Strategic planning and execution
