Job Description for Lead Technical Program Manager

Your Role:
As a Technical Program Manager, you will be playing a critical role in Global Product Organization. Within this role you will drive the development of critical software product development initiative aligned with the newest market demand.

You will be within Aptiv’s Global Product Organization focusing on developing product and technologies in the Compute product area within compute entity.

Technical Program Manager is an exciting role that offers lots of opportunities to grow and expand over time as you gather invaluable experience. You will have full responsibility to deliver Software Product Platform align while developing and deploying newest technology to ensure business growth in the compute segment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Own & ensure high-quality, at-cost, and on-time delivery of SW Product

• Own Sofware technical product roadmap that defines the "how" to deliver to the product roadmap, e.g., convert use cases into epics / stories / tasks, determine required time for delivery, balance competing Eng. needs etc.

• Oversee technical development of Software platforms

• Deliver differentiated new technology and technical product roadmap

• Enable transition into production programs with earliest implementation timing.

• Ensure the roll-out and maintenance of harmonized configuration management

• Drive Customer success for platforms and products related to it

• Prepare staffing planning, based on the knowledge of business requirements, newly won contracts, product roadmap, as well as deep understanding of current staffing levels, skillsets, and existing retention risks

• Support Pursuit Activities related to SW Product in collaboration

• Define & drive SW Product demonstration

• Collaborate with Product Manager to refine software product roadmap considering tech feasibility, etc.

• Remove any external roadblocks for engineering teams to ensure in-time delivery of results

•  Manage and support external partners working with internal engineers.

• Attract, recruit and retain new talents  

• Responsible to develop, guide, mentor, evaluate, train, manage and recognize employees

• Comply with applicable policies and procedures, including compliance to Competency design and methodology direction for Platform specific designs 

• Support Budget & Capital Planning 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 
•    Years of Relevant Experience: 10+ yrs.
•    Education Background: Master's Degree
•    Educational Discipline/Major Program: Masters of Science Computing Engineering / Software Engineering
•    Strong Experience in Automotive Sofware development with Autosar Classic, Adaptive, Linux, Hypervisor technology
•   Get Familiar with UNICI / GIT / Polarion /Jira

• Experience in working in Automotive market with a Focus on developing Complex ECUs. 

• Prior experience in SW architecture design or lead SW Technical product definition

• Knowledge in the field of vehicle bus systems as well as experience in dealing with the corresponding development tools.

• World-class operational experience etc.

• Ability to work in a global environment and lead by influence

• Fluent English.
